Atlanta Summers

Every summer we end up at in Atlanta more and more; than we ever plan on. Last weekend we ventured to Turner Field to watch the Braves retire John Smoltz's number and to catch up with friends. With every trip we take I try to plan for a few amazing meals. This trip we ended up at West Egg Cafe (http://www.westeggcafe.com/) in Atlanta on Howell Mill Road - and LOVED it. The menu is eclectic with a southern twist!

Check out my picnic platter. Complete with CocaCola Ham, Deviled Eggs with Bacon Jam, Homemade Pimento Cheese, Pickled Okra & Fried Green Tomatoes!
Also - Andrew's Redneck Ruben in the background.
The other wonderful suprise to West Egg are their award winning cupcakes! Of course we ended up choosing the CocaCola cupcake, which tastes just like a Coke! Hudson was a little wild, due to the fact that he would not nap the whole way down - which he said was because of excitement to go to the "big ole baseball field" LoL

After a long Braves game we finally went to our friends' Taylor and Courtney to spend the night. Saturday Hudson and their daughter Gracyn played non-stop - from running full speed in the yard to race to feeding the ducks at the pond - they loved spending time together!

~*~ Over all ~ These summer weekends are exceeding our expectations 100% ~*~
